Some people recommend switching to goat’s milk or almond milk for Acid reflux reduction. But, there are not enough scientific researches has been done to confirm these recommendations.

On the one hand, goat’s milk is connected with better digestibility than cow’s milk. But, on the other hand, investigation shows that it has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties, which may benefit your health.

However, it’s slightly high in fat, which may worsen your symptoms. One cup of goat’s milk packs 11 grams of fat, compared with 8 grams for the same serving of whole cow’s milk.

On the other hand, almond milk reduces acid reflux symptoms due to its alkaline nature.

The acidity or alkalinity of food is held by its pH level, ranging from 0 to 14.

While cow’s milk produces a pH of 6.7, almond milk has one of 8.4. Thus, some believe it may help neutralize stomach acids, but further investigation is required to confirm this claim.

While these two options may be help digested than cow’s milk, due to the lack of scientific proof, you may need to test for yourself whether you allow one better than the other.

While calcium and protein from skimmed milk may buffer stomach acids, full-fat milk may increase Acid reflux symptoms.
