Chickenpox, known as varicella, is a contagious infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus.
There is a blister-like rash, which appears on the face and body, and then spreads everywhere the body. Although not life-threatening, complications can occur.

Is chickenpox eradicated?
Varicella vaccine in the market since 1995, and studies show that it has wiped out deaths from chickenpox in the U.S. With two diseases entirely eradicated in the world, this is the good news of progress in the biotech community.
According to the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases study, deaths from chickenpox have diminished by 87% in all age groups and by 98% in young people 20 and under.
Before the rash develops, there will be:
- A feeling of being unwell
- Fever, which is worse in adults than children
- Loss of appetite
- Aching muscles
- Feeling of nausea
After the rash develops, there will be:
A few people have severe symptoms.
- The skin around the spots or injuries becomes painful and red
- Breathing difficulties

Chickenpox resolves within a week or two without any treatment. There is no remedy, but a vaccine can stop it.
A doctor prescribes medication to reduce symptoms of itchiness and discomfort and prevent the infection from spreading to other people.
Pain or fever
Tylenol helps with symptoms of high temperature. First, however, it is necessary to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Chickenpox and pregnancy

There is a risk of catching the infection onto the fetus.
If infection occurs during the 20 weeks of pregnancy, fetal varicella syndrome risks scarring, brain drainage, eye problems, and shortened arms or legs.
If the infection happens next in pregnancy, varicella is transmitted to the fetus, and the baby is born with varicella.
Chickenpox and a weakened immune system
Suppose you’re experiencing dermatophytosis that isn’t responding to OTC treatments or home remedy or you assume tinea infection of the scalp or hair. In that case, your doctor prescribes antifungal pills to clear up the infection.
