How to use sucralfate oral?

Take this medicine by your mouth, 2 to 4 times every day, on an empty stomach 1 hour before your meal or as directed by the doctor. The dosage of this medicine is based on your medical condition.

Use this medication daily to get the benefit from it. Use it at the same time every day. Keep taking this medicine even if you do not feel ulcer pain. Don’t stop taking this medication without consulting the doctor. It takes 4 to 8 weeks for your ulcer to heal perfectly.

Antacids can also be used with this medicine but should take 30 minutes before or after sucralfate.

If your condition persists or worsens after taking sucralfate for four weeks, inform your doctor first.

Side effects
